Why scrapbook?
Because it is always tells the story better than pictures in sleeves with no words.
I did an album as a gift...
Not to be published, not "just for me", but to help someone else remember.
To have a pretty reminder of the little story that is our lives.

I laughed so hard my ribs hurt-BAD!
Jerry shook down the chocolate packet in the brownie mix-which broke open and strayed chocolate sauce ALL over the kitchen!!
It was a pain to clean, but SO funny!
It was even in his hair and on his glasses-an on my camera!!
I was laughing so hard, I couldn't get a non-blurry picture!! :)

Craft day...
Once one of them starts, the others tend to follow suit!
Gavin was painting and drawing, and Gabriel decided to get the
"How to" draw book out!
He is following the sketches pretty well, I would say!

Dentist day... I could have used so many other pictures of Cora and Gabriel in the chair, but this picture just cracks me up!! They gave him sunglasses, for the bright light during the exam!

Gavin's first Pinewood Derby race!!
He got 2nd, one of the races, but didn't end up in the metals.
But he was still a good sport, and proud of his ribbon and patch!

They say it got down to -27 (BEFORE windchill)!

Organized closets. I waited long enough! We have been moved in for over 3 weeks! We kinda got use to living out of bins, but these organized closets (I have more to do, but a GREAT start) make me happy!
Gabriel, he calls nice button up shirts his "handsome" shirts! Too cute.
When I showed them my progress, Gabriel ran up to the closet, and said, "My HANDSOME shirts! All in one place! Wow mom!" Beaming! I wish I had the camera for THAT!!

Just across the way, past the house down the way, while I sit on my computer, I can see this barn each day. It reminds me how close we are to "the country".... it reminds me of when WE use to live on an acreage. And it is just quiet and pretty.

Snow day!!
I admit it... I LOVE when it snows-and HARD! It is beautiful.
To me, there is nothing sadder than it being really cold with no snow.
It looks too dead in winter without it.

Little sillies were shivering, so even though my husband is focused, they aren't! It is cold for little Mexican dogs!

Shutters...
I have waited over a month for them to replace the shutters that were initially put up-the ones that were NOT what I ordered. They changed them today.
Something trivial, but I like these MUCH better. :)

They wanted to play "Spore" with their Daddy (new computer game). I told them, a little buttering up... a back rub, might work. I was right. (He would have anyway! :) )

This book... it is changing my life. I was teetering on the edge of something big...
And this book was given to me by my dear friend Kelly... an unlikely source.
It is affecting us all, and I am grateful!
Now if it wasn't for all the swearing! LOL!

My children tend to gather around while I am at the computer... to play, color or write. They take turns, not always the same children at any given time.
I am endeared by this.
I love them so...

Some old friends, and a new one too! It's 2am, so offically, it is January 1st!
My husband took the picture.
My friends... an extension of family.
I am fortunate. I have friends that help me move, listen to me complain, and celebrate the joys of life with me!
I am VERY blessed!

Project 365...

It all starts with an idea...
Last year many women on scrapbook boards were taking a picture a year.
Maybe it was their intention to scrap them.
I thought it was a good idea, but I heard about it after the years start.

This year, before 1/01/2009, I saw something about a kit-Becky Higgins created for Creating Keepsakes the Kit of the Month, which was an album and everything including special page protectors to make an albums... 400 plus journaling cards, a years worth of page protectors to document each day, etc. etc... well, I thought, "I'm in".I ordered a kit. I am HOPING I get one, since, because of the popularity of the kit, there were some issues.
But I am dedicated. Regardless if I get a kit or not.
Us, 365 day... and a scrapbook. That is my goal. Wish me luck!
